Modern Times Art Shirt Project
| In an effort to foster community, initiate aesthetic adventurousness, and highlight the interconnection between San Francisco artists and booklovers as well as expand our own connection to the Bay Area's many a varied activist communities, Modern Times has begun a yearlong project developing a series of limited edition T-shirts created by selected local artists.

Lart Cognac Berliner
The inaugural shirt was designed by Lart Cognac Berliner, whose drawings and designs have been commissioned by K Records, Otsu Vegan Store and others.

Tân Khánh
The second shirt's design was created by painter and muralist
Tân Khánh and echoes the style and graceful lines of the storefront mural Tan painted for us when she was a Modern Times staffer. See more of Tan's work at Coalition for Performance Composition.

Ellery Russian
Ellery is a Seattle native, co-director of the documentary Third Antenna, and author of the zine Ring of Fire, which explores issues of disability, gender and sexuality. Ellery works at the Left Bank Books Collective, one of the oldest anarchist bookstores in the world.

Liberation Ink Print Collective
Liberation Ink is a worker owned and operated business whose profits directly support community-based social justice projects in the Bay Area.
Molly Leung
Molly is a harmonica playing gardner and urban studies student who has designed and produced a number of shirts for various violence prevention and queer youth community organizations.
Ivy McLelland
Ivy
is a graffiti writer, artist, and muralist. She is also a musician and plays in the local band Allergic to Bullshit.
